Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

It was a gift from Miss Joo, who knows well about my bookcollecting-holic.

This book was about a very normal and common girl- Emma(What a normal name she has!!). She was nothing, and didn't have any special talents.
Even though she was very common, it could become her most attractive charms to make everybody's PRINCE CHARMING- Jack to her captive.

I didn't know about the Sophie Kinsella even though she's been already famouse for her 'SHOPPERHOLIC' series. Because of Miss Joo I got to know a very talented writer with an extreme humor.

I love her style to tell a story and I really enjoyed this book. It was written in easy English to tell a modern Cindella story, and I had a chance to experience real Britain English.


이 책은, 나의 책사랑을 잘 아시는 주차장님의 첫번째 책 선물이다.
미국 여행길에 돌아오면서 공항에서 사셨다는 이 책은, 처음 볼때부터 그 상큼한 분홍색 커버가 참 맘에 들었다.
난 쇼퍼홀릭에 전혀 관심이 없었기에, 솔직히 Sophie Kindella에 한번도 손이 가지 않았지만, 차장님 덕분에 재미있게 순식간에 읽을 수 있는 하나의 Chic-lit 이 되었다.
영어가 전혀 어렵지 않고, 내용이 너무 재미있고 유머러스해서 영어실력이 대단하지 않아도 쉽게 읽을 수 있는 책이다. 고등학교 수준이면 읽을 수 있지 않을까?
난 내용이 너무 웃겨서, 퇴근시간이 서둘러 기다려질 정도였다. 직장인이 3-4일만에 읽을 정도면, 이해되지? 나처럼 early-go-to-bed-type임에도 불구하고 말이다.
차장님이 Roald Dahl도 하나 주셨는데, 아직 손 대지는 않았다는.. ^^;
